Echt Foto 72 Schöpfer der Oktavgeige" showing the old violin maker Johann Reiter at work in his Bavarian factory, real photo postcard with interesting composition & exemplary contrast, deckled edges as issued. The instrument name is sometimes seen as Oktav-Geige, and very few were ever made. Mailed APR 23 1907 to Mr. John Hirsch in Erie Pennsylvania. The owner of the Curtis Publishing Company owned this ship from 1904 - 1907. Its home port was Camden Maine during the summer months.
