BRITISH STAMPS

1864 Great Britain one-penny red, plate 209 position HE, cancelled clearly A26 (Gibraltar). $25.00 gg

1867 six-pence purple, plate 6 position FJ, watermarked two inverted roses, used, centered to right. $275.00 g NEW / NEU / NY / NOVO

1873 three-pence rose, plate 15 position FE, clear socked-on-nose London postmark of FE 12 75 (within a year of the 6 / 9 / 74 put-to-press date). $15.00 g

1902 1-1 / 2-p violet & greed, Birmingham Registry cancel. $8.50 g

Two used 1902 3-p with markedly differing appearance. One the yellow-surface lemon-back with dull reddish purple center (the 3 / 06 printing). The other having a lemon front color--same as the other stamp's back color. $140.00 g

1902 one-shilling dull green & carmine (cancel on DE 16 02 is conclusive, also the bright carmine is a more intense red) bearing a Churchfield CDS. $13.50 g
