Church / Groveport Ohio" as it looked in 1910, showing one residence that has since been demolished & a grocery in the distance (near the wagon) that has since burned down; sepia-tone proof for a post card with the caption that was eventually used written in hand on the back by the photographer Daniel Boone Carlock, who also noted the quantity ordered--25. Good focus & composition, as you would expect from a proof, paper browned a bit with age, small dark spot in sky from a drip of chemical when printed. 'Groveport' is also hand-written on the front, but the photographer underlined the Ohio in 'Groveport Ohio' on the back. There is no other Groveport in the US, so apparently he did this to emphasize that his customer wanted the state name spelled out. Literally unique, belongs in a museum. $50.00 om

on the back; there is also an adherence on the back of those two. The other postcard is
also of Italian origin but has no handwritten message. Mr. Stone was noted for his
philanthropy, donating (among other things) Gibraltar Island to The Ohio State University.

kept rather than sell, keeping it in otherwise excellent condition. The Decker bridge
replaced a covered bridge at that location. New caddies at the golf course were initiated
by throwing them from the bridge at this point. The road has since been straightened
