Each museum card is a quality color print measuring approximately 3.6" x 7.3" (like a regular postcard, but longer) with no postcard back. Length of these cards varies a bit, but they belong together. Scenes are explained in 6 languages (including English, German & French): Pushkin monument, Textile Workers Palace of Culture, Ministries building, Lenin monument, 14 Turkestan commissars monument, Turkestan military region museum, dwelling houses in Pushkin Street (shown), etc. The cards are fresh; the outer wrapper has a corner crease and some minor wear. Ideal gift for the homesick expatriate. $19.00

Lot of 13 die-cut Valentines, each somewhat smaller than a regular-size postcard.  Most open up with fancy edges & embossing. Most actually used by school children, judging by pencil writings on some of the backs. One is a mechanical that still works. 2 examples shown above. $16.00 for all. v

Interesting lot of 37 mailed Valentines, with a notable progression from the earlier very fancy, intricate & embossed designs to later & much simpler artistic styles without embellishment. Includes several nice postcards & good variety--vinegar valentines, Dutch kids, hand-tinted real photo, angels, Winsch, Tuck, anonymous, party invitation, etc. Most would retail for $3.00 to $5.00, with nothing tatty. Examples shown: vinegar valentine from 1906 (left) & one from 1926 with unsigned art. Good for study or for a dealer's stock, they are wholesale priced at $67.00 vw!!
